The laser technology application forum in the pump valve industry was successfully held

To fully leverage the role of a public service platform for technological innovation, promote the application of laser technology in the pump valve industry, promote the technological transformation and upgrading of a large number of small and medium-sized pump valve enterprises in our city, and enhance their core competitiveness. On the morning of December 28, 2016, the Special Service Action of Wenzhou Pump and Valve Technology Innovation Service Platform in Zhejiang Province and the Laser Technology Application Forum in the Pump and Valve Industry were held in the lecture hall of Yongjia Technology Building. Lu Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 150 leaders and enterprise representatives from the Comprehensive Office of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Yongjia County Science and Technology Bureau, and the co construction unit of the Pump Valve Technology Innovation Service Platform attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by An Zongwen, Director of Wenzhou Pump and Valve Research Institute at Lanzhou University of Technology.
At the meeting, Associate Professor Zhang Xiheng from the School of Petrochemical Engineering at Lanzhou University of Technology gave a report on the development of oil and gas transmission valves under extreme working conditions, providing in-depth explanations on the significance, structure, sealing materials, and maintenance of oil and gas transmission valve development under extreme working conditions. This provides valuable guidance for enterprises in the development of high-end valves; Professor Feng Aixin from Wenzhou University gave a report on "New Laser Processing Processes and Their Applications for the Technical Needs of Pump Valve Fields", detailing the cutting-edge applications of laser technology and advanced laser manufacturing technology. He also conducted a targeted analysis of the confusion in the process of pump valve enterprises relying on laser advanced manufacturing technology for technological innovation and transformation and upgrading; Dr. Cao Chi, General Manager of Wenzhou Science and Technology Park at Lanzhou University of Technology, gave a report on the application of material surface engineering technology in key components of pump valves. He provided in-depth explanations on three advanced surface improvement technologies: physical vapor deposition, low-temperature plasma diffusion, and laser cladding. He analyzed the demand and application prospects of material surface modification technology in the pump valve industry; Wu Xuhao, General Manager of Zhejiang Jiuheng Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., gave a report on the application of laser surfacing and quenching technology in valve sealing surface strengthening. Through the explanation of practical application cases, the application potential and future development trend of laser surface strengthening technology in the pump valve industry were introduced from multiple aspects such as materials, processes, and characteristics; Associate Professor Dai Dameng from Wenzhou University gave a report on the "Road to Intelligent" Manufacturing in Wenzhou Pump and Valve Industry, explaining the connotation, practical cases, and implementation paths of intelligent "manufacturing from multiple aspects. He also delved into how the Wenzhou pump and valve industry can promote the process of intelligent" manufacturing.
The successful convening of the forum has provided entrepreneurs with a deeper understanding and inspiration in the fields of high-end valve research and development, laser processing new processes, and intelligent manufacturing. They have also gained an understanding of how new technologies can be applied in the pump valve industry and their future development trends. This has pointed out new directions and ideas for enterprise product technology innovation, and strengthened their confidence in innovative development.
The docking activity between the platform and enterprises in the special service action of this technology innovation service platform will be held from January 6th to 7th.
